Amid warm summer temperatures, numerous participants gathered to exchange ideas on current developments in digital health. Following the opening remarks by Prof. Dr. Julian Varghese, Prof. Dr. Daniela Dieterich (Dean of the Faculty of Medicine), and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jens Strackeljan (Rector of Otto von Guericke University), PD Dr. Philipp Berg opened the program with his keynote "STIMULATE goes clinic: minimally invasive and maximally innovative."
As the event continued, the Institute for Medical Data Science introduced itself along with its working groups from the Data Integration Center and the AI Platform to the Medical Artificial Intelligence Lab and Medical Bioinformatics and clinical dashboards.
A break accompanied by a poster exhibition provided a good opportunity for professional exchange and networking.
In the evening, further engaging talks on digital health applications in Magdeburg rounded out the program, including topics such as explainable AI, digital health in hepatology, data science from a clinical perspective, and digital care models in pediatrics. The event concluded with the second keynote, given by Prof. Dr. Hans-Ulrich Prokosch, on the topic "Data Integration Centers: Data Provider and Also Driver for Future AI Applications?"
Afterward, the event ended with a relaxed get-together.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all speakers, participants, the musical accompaniment led by Sebastian Böhlen, photographer Michael Palatini, and Exquisit Catering for a successful and inspiring evening!
