Teaching and consulting are the main focuses of the Biometrics Research Group. If you would like to request consulting services for a specific project, please use the request form and send it to the secretariat via email.

Biometric consulting for medical research projects is available to all members of the University Medical Center Magdeburg. The consulting may cover experimental design, guidance on data collection, statistical analysis, and interpretation of results. It includes support for
- scientific work (doctoral dissertations, postdoctoral qualifications),
- medical publications,
- animal research applications, and
- clinical trials.

We maintain close, often long-standing collaborative relationships with a wide range of institutes and clinics within the Faculty of Medicine. These collaborations frequently arise from the working group’s consultations, following which we also undertake more extensive projects, often involving the planning and analysis of clinical or experimental studies. The significance of this work within our research group is also evident from the institute’s list of publications, which includes many works resulting from close collaboration with partners at the faculty.

Close collaborative ties also exist with the Coordination Center for Clinical Trials (KKS) in Magdeburg, which was established with the support of the Institute of Biometry and Medical Informatics.

As part of the DFG-funded Research Training Group GRK2413, the Biometrics Division offered the workshop “Data Management and Biometrics II for Medical Doctoral Students” in 2022.
